My name is Ladéna and I am a proud first time mom. The idea for this website came to mind based on the ancient African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child”.
As a new parent, I believe it is crucial to count on others to help you through your pregnancy, your first months with a newborn and your first years with your child. As we all know, preparing for a new baby is expensive and many items are needed for the new arrival. MyBabyStuff.ca is an online community where parents can help each other out by passing on items they no longer need to others, and search for items for the next stages of growth.
Throughout my pregnancy, I searched the web for various items for my child. I found it overwhelming with all the different sites available, and I know I would have found it beneficial to have a one-stop online shop for Canadian parents to find a multitude of baby items.
This is how MyBabyStuff.ca came about. I convinced my husband, a talented web designer, to build an easy to use and fun classified website that would help me and other moms and dads get the items we need!
It is our goal to make this website work for you. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please email me.
Finally, after months of planning and designing MyBabyStuff.ca, the website is complete! Enjoy the site, tell other parents about it, and check in often for updates.
